Which stylist or artist is best for me?
If you have a general idea of what you may be looking for at Rosewater Salon, you can read our team member’s descriptions on Gloss Genius of the services they offer. This will help guide you in the right direction and help you choose the right artist.
Please note that options for new clients vary from returning clients. We sometimes need more time to get to know a new client and their needs. If you’re a new client, fill out the form at the bottom of this page. We recommend booking a free 15-minute consultation with the artist or stylist of your choosing to discuss your vision in person. What products do you use and why?
At Rosewater, we take our products very seriously. Not ones to be swayed by flashy branding or sales gimmicks — we vet every line we use. Performance, quality ingredients, ethical business practices and price point are considered when choosing to work with a line. We only carry the brands who make the cut. (Get it? The cut?!) How is Rosewater different from other salons?
We are proud to be disruptors in our industry. Appealing to artists and clients alike, we commit to a transparent hourly rate pricing structure. By leaving behind the a la carte services, we can tell you exactly how much your appointment will be, how long it will take, and your artist will know exactly what their paycheck will be. We also don’t double book appointments so you have your artists undivided attention. The best art of all, we are a gratuity free salon. No more wondering who to tip, or how much. The price is the price and it is a totally stress free interaction.

How do I prep for my hair, brow or makeup appointment?
For all hair services (up-styles included), the cleaner the hair, the better. For makeup services, a freshly washed and moisturized face is ideal. A makeup-free face is best for brow and lash tinting.

How do I schedule an appointment?
It’s so simple! Follow this link to our booking site, Gloss Genius, then choose your artist, date and time for your appointment. Booking the appointment will automatically create a profile for you. You will then be asked to acknowledge you have read and understand our cancellation policy. It will also ask you to leave a card on file. If a deposit is required for your appointment, it will be charged to the card. The card will not be charged until services are rendered or a cancellation fee must occur. If you need further assistance, reach out to your artist directly or call our salon at 313.300.0466.

I’m running late, what do I do?
If you are running late, please contact your stylist immediately and directly via call or text. You can also call the salon at 313.300.0466, though we cannot guarantee someone will always be available to take the call.
PLEASE NOTE: We have a 15-minute grace period after which your appointment may be canceled and subject to a cancellation fee.

How do I cancel an appointment?
You’ll continue to receive correspondence leading up to your appointment via Gloss Genius. You can manage your appointment through the direct link sent in your booking confirmation up to 24 hours before your appointment. Within that 24 hour window, you must call, text, or either email your artist or the salon at info@rosewatersalonferndale.com. Our cancellation policy states all appointments not kept or canceled within 24 hours are subject to a cancellation fee.

What if I’m not content with the service I received? How do I navigate that as a client?
While we hope that you love your services, we also understand that things happen. If you need an adjustment, please reach out to your artist within a week of the original service and we will do our best to remedy anything that comes up. We do not offer refunds but will not charge for a redo if the fault was ours.
If the service rendered was agreed upon and delivered, there may be a product charge.
